"Il bacio della morte" immagine del Carnevale del 2020 che volli realizzare con la complicità della simpatica ragazza, molto disponibile, lei faceva parte della mascherata che accompagnava il carro del Cantiere di Bombolo. A volte le immagini parlano e solo oggi ci si rende conto di ciò che il passato ci ha riservato per il futuro. Da un momento di divertimento e spensieratezza, in due anni abbiamo attraversato una pandemia ed iniziato una guerra nel cuore dell'Europa orientale, siamo umani e ci faremo scivolare anche questo addosso. Notizie funeste giungevano in quei giorni di febbraio, mentre correvano le voci delle prime zone critiche toccate dal Covid-19 nel mondo. Il 21 febbraio 2020 veniva scoperto in Italia a Codogno il primo caso di Covid-19 successivamente il 9 marzo l'Italia si chiuderà per tre mesi in lokdown. Anche a Foiano della Chiana impazzava il Carnevale in quei giorni. "Impazzava" per il piccolo borgo della Chiana è la parola più appropriata che si può usare, visto la passione dei maestri della cartapesta e la rivalità dei 4 cantiere del paese, molto sentita nelle quattro domeniche di svolgimento della manifestazione. Dopo due anni senza Carnevale a Foiano il lutto si può togliere, saltati i corsi di gennaio-febbraio 2021-22 il comitato ha dato notizia a tutti i suoi "sudditi" di nuove date, in tarda primavera Re Giocondo ed il suo regno sarà di nuovo in festa. Carnevale di Foiano 2022 nuove date 5 . 11 . 12 . 19 GIUGNO
