In un commento giustamente mi han fatto notare: “ Una piccola informazione. Questo non è il retro, è un secondo "davanti". In quei tempi, ed in particolare quando fu progettato il teatro, era previsto un ingresso dall'acqua per i nobili che arrivavano con la gondola. Tale ingresso doveva essere degno del suo scopo, quindi non un ingresso secondario, anzi. Doveva essere di dimensioni di almeno 20 piedi per ospitare senza difficoltà l'imbarcazione. Esso era ben indicato nei requisiti che furono dati ai progettisti che parteciparono al bando per la costruzione del teatro, bando che fu vinto da Giannantonio Selva e fu costruito per il volere della nobile Società dei Palchettisti, dopo aver perso la controversia con la nobile famiglia Venier…” di Gabbia65
