Iniziava 600 e un anno fa la storia del simbolo di Firenze e del Rinascimento Era un 7 agosto come oggi ma del lontano 1420, quando venne avviata la realizzazione della Cupola del Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore. I lavori iniziarono tra lo scetticismo generale: in pochi all'epoca avrebbero scommesso che, di lì a pochi anni, mattone su mattone, sarebbe sorto quello che è il simbolo di Firenze e del Rinascimento, capolavoro assoluto dell'arte che da secoli incanta il mondo. Solo un paio d'anni prima, l'Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore indisse un concorso pubblico per quel progetto considerato da molti un'impresa 'impossibile'.

La cupola dopo l'ingresso alle terrazze del Duomo, con le varie prospettive.












E anche se, di fatto, non ci furono vincitori ufficiali, il lavoro venne affidato ai capomastri Brunelleschi e Ghiberti. Ma tra i due, come raccontano le cronache dell'epoca, era un continuo battibeccare. Fu così che il Ghiberti venne estromesso dal progetto, mentre Filippo Brunelleschi rimase, da solo, alla conduzione della grandiosa cupola, ma sempre sul piede di guerra nei confronti dei potenziali rivali.

Vi propongo le immagini con il fisheye per una realizzazione alternativa dato che si trovano altre fotografie con il grandangolo normale, le prossime volte le propongo.








Salire qui sopra è stata un'esperienza indimenticabile, ripagata dalla bellezza del panorama e per aver attraversato 600 anni di storia all'interno della stessa.

Carissimi amici vi posso riunire in un unica risposta e in un ringraziamento collettivo per i complimenti espressi, grazie per aver gradito questo scenario meraviglioso che si può ammirare dalla vetta della cupola del Brunelleschi, personalmente non ho fatto nulla di nuovo, infatti nella galleria dedicata da Yuza a Firenze ci sono già immagini del genere;-)
Arrivare fin qui fa parte del tour della "visita delle terrazze del Duomo", che vi consiglio vivamente.
La partenza della visita inizia dall'interno del Duomo per poi passare nelle strette scale che portano alle terrazze panoramiche, dopo di che si effettua metà giro degli affreschi della cupola attraverso un piccolo corridoio a ballatoio sotto i dipinti, altro passaggio per la seconda salita questa volta fino alla vetta dall'interno della cupola stessa, dove si scopre la tecnica usata dal Brunelleschi per alleggerire la struttura, dopo la spiegazione del tour che vi ho anticipato dovete aspettare i vari post che vi proporrò con tutte le immagini a mia disposizione che visualizzeranno ogni tappa del tour, buon divertimento MrGreen
