Sulle sommità di Castro dei Volsci all'interno delle mura castellane troviamo la chiesa di Sant'Oliva, l'edificio di culto è contiguo alla Rocca. La prima volta la chiesa venne nominata nel 1125 nella Bolla di Onorio II , la chiesa venne edificata contigua alla Rocca proprio dove precedentemente sorgeva una chiesa dedicata a San Pietro. L'interno a navata unica conserva un altare maggiore consacrato nel 1537 con dietro un grande affresco che raffigura la Santa che protegge il Paese dai bombardamenti della seconda guerra mondiale, la leggenda narra che due piloti americani dopo aver fatto cadere le bombe sul centro abitato si resero conto che le bombe non caddero all'interno del centro ma fuori in tal modo non causarono una strage; dopo il bombardamento Richard Nelson tornò a visitare il paese e si soffermò a visitare la chiesa di Sant'Oliva. Guardando l'affresco si accorse che Sant'Oliva era colei che aveva visto nel manto celeste mentre lanciava le bombe sul Centro, a quel punto il pilota americano scoppiò in un pianto di ringraziamento per non aver causato una strage. Sant'oliva tutt'oggi è molto venerata ed è la Patrona di Castro dei Volsci, viene festeggiata il 3 giugno anticamente veniva festeggiata il 15 gennaio (festa di Santa Gliva vecchia).
