Con l'amico Andrea abbiamo avuto la fortuna di assistere ad un prolungato attacco del Falco di Palude ad un gruppo di Folaghe ...isolata la preda il falco caparbiamente a cercato più volte di afferarre la preda per portarla sulla terra ferma ma la folaga è riuscita a respingere tutti gli attacchi. La foto non è il massimo per la distanza e per il quasi controluce ma la scena meritava comunque un post.

With his friend Andrea had the good fortune to attend a sustained attack on the Marsh Harrier to a group of coots ... isolated prey hawks stubbornly tried several times to afferarre prey to bring it ashore but the coot is managed to repel all attacks. The photo is not the best for the distance and the near-backlit but the scene still deserved a post.

Ottimo scatto , molto bello il filmato. Se il filmato riproduce la fase più cruenta dell'attacco , l'impressione è che il falco non ci abbia provato con troppa convinzione......
Great shot, very nice movie. If the movie plays the bloodiest phase of the attack, the impression is that the hawk did not try with much conviction ...... Ottimo scatto , molto bello il filmato. Un documento molto interessante di cui sono grato all'autore e anche per aver disposto il link che permette di accedere al filmato,che pur non essendo qualitativamente al top,permette di assistere a uno spaccato di vita reale in cui si può percepire quanto sia drammatica la lotta per la sopravvivenza. Ciò che per chi assiste rimane spettacolo per chi lo vive diventano attimi cruciali decisivi per la vita o la morte. Confesso che pur sapendo in anticipo l'esito,ho strenuamente tifato per la folaga;il falco avrà pasteggiato diversamente. Bravo per aver deciso di condividere la foto e il filmato,il cui esito mi lascia felice,anche per aver confermato ancora una volta quanto la folaga sia una vera lottatrice,che non si lascia paralizzare dalle dimensioni dell'avversario. I confess that knowing in advance the outcome, I strongly rooted for the coot, the hawk will pasteggiato otherwise. Si il filmato riproduce la fase più cruenta dell'attacco ... ed effettivamente anche a me ha dato l'impressione che il falco non fosse poi cosi convinto e deciso nonostante i ripetuti tentativi

Assistere dal vivo è stato per noi molto emozionante ...e ti posso dire che eravamo quasi impietriti specie nei primi momenti dell'attacco. la Folaga ci ha sorpreso perchè tener testa per tanti minuti ad un predatore del genere non era facile anzi . Ho visto filmati dove falchi di palude attaccano prede anche più grandi tipo cavalieri e li tirano fuori dall'acqua in un baleno . La nostra amica questa volta è stata brava e fortunata ...chissà se sarà cosi al prossimo giro

Watch live was very exciting for us ... and I can tell you andravamo almost petrified species in the first moments of the attack. the Coot surprised us because coping for many minutes at a predator like it was not easy indeed. I've seen footage where hawks attack prey even larger type knights and pull them out of the water in a flash.
