Questa estate mentre ero nella mia casa sull'Apennino tosco-Emiliano , una mattina aprendo la porta ho trovato un insolito ospite , un giovane assiolo che dormiva tranquillamente . Ho provato a toccarlo e lui ha spalancato i suoi occhioni gialli pieni di stupore e di paura . Sono andato a prendere la macchina e gli ho fatto qualche scatto , ma adesso il problema era : e ora che ci faccio con questo piccoletto ? Sono andato a cercare notizie in rete ed ho trovato un articolo della provincia di Grosseto , dove gli Assioli sono molto comuni , che diceva che i piccoli nati in giugno nel mese di luglio provavano i primi voli per prepararsi alla migrazione in Africa di fine estate , ma non sempre andavano a buon fine e nell'eventualità di trovarli nel bosco di non fare assolutamente nulla in quanto loro stessi si sarebbero arrampicati sull'albero utilizzando il becco e gli artigli . Allora ho portato il piccolino in fondo al giardino dove ci sono degli alberi , dai quali probabilmente era arrivato . Sono tornato in casa e dopo un quarto d'ora sono andato a controllare e l'assiolo non c'era più. Non so esattamente che fine abbia fatto , ma mi piace pensare che si sia arrampicato sull'albero e adesso sia in Africa a godersi il caldo.
