Cremlino dalla Piazza Ivanovskaya con il Campanile di Ivan il Grande e le Cattedrali della Dormizione e dell'Arcangelo Michele. Il Cremlino di Mosca, il più famoso dei cremlini, è una cittadella fortificata posta nel centro geografico e storico della città di Mosca, sulla riva sinistra del fiume Moscova, sulla collina Borovickij. È la parte più antica della città ed è sede delle istituzioni governative nazionali della Russia, nonché uno dei più importanti complessi artistici e storici della nazione. Al suo interno c'è la piazza delle Cattedrali che è la piazza centrale del Cremlino di Mosca, dove tutte le sue strade convergevano nel XV secolo. La piazza prende il nome dalle tre cattedrali che vi sorgono, la cattedrale della Dormizione, la cattedrale dell'Arcangelo Michele e la cattedrale dell'Annunciazione. Oltre a queste, vi si affacciano anche il palazzo Sfaccettato, la chiesa della Deposizione della Veste e la chiesa dei Dodici Apostoli. La struttura più alta sulla piazza (e precedentemente di tutta la Russia) è il campanile di Ivan il Grande, che la separa da piazza Ivanovskaja (piazza dalla quale è stata scattata la foto).
