Foto fatta nell'ottobre del 2017 che vi propongo soltanto oggi in quanto ha gareggiato in vari concorsi internazionali e ora che sono finiti tutti sono libero di condividerla. Non sono solito raccontare i miei scatti ma questa volta voglio farlo perché questo scatto mi sta molto a cuore. Nel mese di settembre fino alla prima metà di ottobre sono solito fotografare i pipistrelli che escono la notte per cibarsi da alcune grotte naturali site su di una montagna vicina a casa, in quel periodo su questo monte scoppiò un grosso incendio che durò circa una settimana e che distrusse svariati ettari di meraviglioso bosco, all'inizio l'incendio parti dalla parte bassa della montagna, e nei primi 2/3 giorni sembrò che i pompieri riuscissero a domarlo, anzi il terzo giorno sembrava che ce l'avessero fatta, ma il quarto giorno riprese più forte di prima, quel giorno guardavo la montagna che bruciava e mi venne la malsana idea di salire alle grotte per riuscire a fare una foto dei pipistrelli con la vallata infuocata, caricai tutta la mia attrezzatura in macchina e mi diressi in loco. Arrivato alla grotta piazzai tutta la mia attrezzatura e aspettai l'imbrunire che è il momento dove i pipistrelli escono per cibarsi, normalmente quando fotografo i pipistrelli piazzo tutto il mio brevetto che ho costruito appositamente per loro verso l'esterno della grotta, poi una volta che i pipistrelli sono usciti aspetto circa 2/3 orette che rientrano e in quel momento li fotografo. Quella sera i pippi uscirono e con mia grande sorpresa dopo circa una quindicina di minuti rientrarono in massa spinti da un denso fumo e dalle fiamme dell'incendio che a velocità incredibile spinte da un forte vento venivano verso di me, feci una cinquantina di scatti, ma solo uno ne risulto corretto in quando tutti gli altri avevano degli errori quali ali tagliate o soggetto non perfettamente a fuoco. Purtroppo quella sera dovetti smontare a velocità supersonica e scappare in quanto le fiamme ormai erano arrivate molto vicine e il rischio era elevatissimo la pelle delle braccia e della faccia iniziava a bruciare, oltretutto tenendo conto che avevo circa 700 metri di sentiero in salita da percorrere con 35 kg di materiale sulle spalle. Scappai e quando arrivai sulla strada asfaltata trovai i pompieri che cercavano di arginare i fuoco e alcune persone della protezione civile che cercavano il proprietario della mia automobile..........inutile che sto a raccontarvi gli insulti che giustamente mi hanno detto. Spero che il mio scatto possa trasmettere a voi la drammaticità di questo incendio che ha causato un danno incredibile a questa meravigliosa montagna.
