anche per la città capitale la bellezza emerge soprattutto quando le strade e le piazze sono vuote e silenziose, nel pieno della notte e prima dell'alba. Sul lato sud della piazza sono riprese le due chiese gemelle di S.Maria in Montesanto e di S.Maria dei Miracoli, iniziate dal Rainaldi e terminate dal Bernini e da Carlo Fontana nel 1675 la prima, nel 1678 la seconda.
