As the shooting of the subject is not bad in my way of seeing lacks the brightness on it to better highlight it, who knows maybe the artificial light was not very well regulated.
saw the use of the tripod maybe other adjustments could be used with a longer time, setting a lower sensitivity, perhaps so you would have achieved a greater brightness on the butterfly independently of the artificial light.

Thank you very much! @Pigi47 The Flash setting was set to maximum but as a fixed illumination, not as TTL flash. It was definitely an experiment this type of macro (with the flash I can do better with people ;-)) and also I did not want to exaggerate with the shadows recovery or lighten the subject to not lose detail. Next time experiment with some different adjustment, even with posed better thanks for observing.

Very nice idea of the backlight, but I would try a roost less ruined and more "minimal".

Thanks Michele, you are completely right, in that situation I had overlooked the attenzioni...in spring I will try to improve the scene.
