Call me naive if you like, but for me, the approach up into the cavernous concourse at London Dockland's Canary Wharf station is a wonder.

Though I don't keep up with the latest scifi films, it is so easy to imagine Bladerunner, Star Trek and Star Wars, as the lights from the skyscrapers up and beyond add a magical feel.

Saturday in December at 7.30 a.m. means it's far quieter than on a weekday but even those on the elevators are mostly catching up on their Facebook status - as I said, call me naive!

Not an easy shot to take, the elevator is moving, the lighting was darker than I anticipated and I upped the blues and reduced the yellows (colour cast on the concrete interior). And quite a challenge to edit, too.
