10.08.2017 Un giorno pieno di emozioni. Stavamo riprendendo il nostro safari dopo una breve sosta sulle rive del Mara, quando al centro di una pista secondaria che stavamo seguendo ecco davanti a noi questa Pavoncella molto "arrabbiata" che non si spostava dalla pista. La nostra guida Masai William lasciò quindi la traettoria e avvicinandoci ecco svelato il motivo di tanta perseveranza...la Pavoncella spinosa aveva nidificato proprio nel centro della pista dove le Jeep transitavano per i Safari. Una specie abbastanza comune in Africa, ma mai avevamo visto un suo "nido". Abbiamo cercato nei limiti del possibile di passare limitandole il disturbo, ma seppur fossimo in una pista secondaria la nostra paura di un epilogo negativo per le uova della Pavoncella è rimasto...non conosco le dinamiche di nidificazione di questa specie, magari qualcuno nel forum potrà illuminarmi :-) Pdr non eccellente avendo scattato dalla Jeep in posizione molto ravvicinata.
