Military Training Area, for tanks.
This winding track is about 2km long, 1/10th of the distance I walked on Friday morning, from before sunrise to lunchtime, almost all of it within the designated military Zone, with limited access to the public. Because of the occasional vehicles and personnel might be military, I can never photograph them, but this allows for an eerily empty feel to the landscape, one of the few genuinely 'wildernesses' left in southern England. |
