Gorgeous. Those roots in the foreground make the photo. Compliments.

What a beautiful Simone! Very serious and dry with a very curative composition. The foreground and the threatening clouds make it very Gothic.
Compliments,

Beautiful shot, in my opinion one of the best you have proposed in recent times. Absolutely functional the Bianconero, he probably lost a lot with the color. The composition I love very much. Only I would have tried (so to say one) to make the roots in the foreground a bit more "angry", contrasted, I do not know how to say it. However complimented, really great

Very, very beautiful: the shimmering cloud in the clouds reverberating on the trunks "animating them" is, in my opinion, added value to this beautiful image. Even the diagonal exit of the trunk in the foreground concurs with the spumosity Of clouds to give dynamism to an apparently static picture. Really good, Nando.

Thank you all for the welcome comments. :-P

@Claudio
I would only have tried (so to say one) to make the roots in the foreground a bit more "angry", contrasted,

What you see I believe is version 6 or 7 :-D :-D I also got it with the most decided first, but then uniformed too much with the mountain. That "angry" is you, the trunks just resigned to their Fate ;-)
Thanks for your opinion. ;-)

A greeting
Simone

... I missed your beautiful black and white! ;-) I imagine you lying on the side of the mountain, attached with the lens to those dead branches, contorting you to find the right composition (then biting a little bit of pain in getting you up! :-D :-D :-D) .. And what a composition! : -or really wonderful!
I confess to you one thing: I waited to see it on the PC before commenting on it, because it immediately gave me the feeling expressed by Claudio (Santoro), or a close-up, a little "flat", despite the work done on the branches To get a good separation of the tones ... I've read your explanation and is convincing me - to look at it I begin to recognize the "weight" you gave to the various elements and I understand this is a great shot!
Congratulations Simone!

thereAo, Alberto.

You always have an eye on the details that nature offers us, in this case well-told the cycle of existence.
The sky and the first floor are great, the spruce in the middle is somewhat dirty, and I think it has a more marked role

I thank everyone again for the interventions.

Alberto you know me well now :-D

Claudio, the spruce had not been invited, but he managed to catch the same party. ;-)

Fascinating bianconero, with a beautiful highlight for the foreground that, I think, suggested the title. Even heaven, not bad.

Complimenti.

Ciao

Ric
