Churchill 2004 - Scansione da diapositiva (velvia 50), purtroppo tagliata in basso.- Cosa non particolarmente saggia e sconsigliabile da fare a Churchill, mi ero allontanato notevolmente dal fuoristrada, dove avevo lasciato tutta l'attrezzatura fotografica ad eccezione del corpo macchina con montato l'80-200, addentrandomi a piedi nella tundra in una zona dove presumevo di trovare le lepri artiche.- Ho incontrato questa che è rimasta immobile, lasciandosi avvicinare veramente a “tiro” di grandangolo.- Dopo diversi scatti da varie angolazioni, mi sono posizionato in maniera tale da averla in controluce; era stupenda con tutta quella neve sollevata dalle folate di vento mentre lei restava ferma immobile.- Purtroppo avevo lasciato il cavalletto sul fuoristrada, ma ho comunque cercato di realizzare alcune immagini abbassando i tempi di scatto quel tanto che potevo per evitare il mosso, ma abbastanza da poter esaltare il movimento di tutta la neve che le vorticava attorno.- Sono poi ritornato al fuoristrada per recuperare il cavalletto per poter usare un tempo ancora più lento; ma nel frattempo la lepre si era spostata in un punto un po' meno coreografico ed erano pure cambiate le condizioni meteorologiche; peccato!
