La costruzione, nata come "Casa del Balilla e Palestra", risale al 1929, nel contesto di adesione alla pianificazione fideistica dell'educazione fascista: il più gigantesco esperimento di educazione di Stato che la storia ricordi. Il progetto fu redatto dall'U.T. di Quistello di cui era responsabile Giuseppe Gorni e proprio al Gorni è attribuita , oltre alla decorazione, il disegno della facciata principale. Di particolare interesse il prospetto posteriore decorato con affreschi inneggianti alle attività ginnico-sportive. La costruzione, oggi adibita a sala civica e palestra, conserva ancora l'esuberante recinzione progettata sempre da Giuseppe Gorni.
