La specie fotografata è Cyanistes Teneriffae Degener o Ultramarinus ed appartiene ad una delle cinque sottospecie di Cinciarelle africane che abitano le Isole Canarie. E' presente nelle isole più orientali, Fuerteventura e Lanzarote, e differisce,per es., dalla Cinciarella di Gran Canaria (o Hedwigii) per il colore indaco delle ali e la presenza, sulle stesse, della banda trasversale. Rispetto alle nostre è più piccola e più scura e manca,totalmente, delle sfumature verdi dorsali. Vedere in HD.
