Quella che vedete non è una grande street e meno che meno un grande scatto, è semplicemente la storia di un ragazzino speciale.Passeggiavo in una piazza Navona, come al solito, piena di turisti all'inverosimile, attratti dal fascino di questo stupendo luogo, dove l'occhio spazia e il cuore si riempie di emozioni: artisti, giocolieri, cantastorie, e lunghe file di gente di tutte le etnie che, come tanti fedeli cagnolini, seguono il capo gruppo e la guida. Volevo fotografare una coppia che, tanto per cambiare, si faceva un selfie, quando il mio sguardo è stato attratto da un bel ragazzino che dava da mangiare ai veri protagonisti della piazza: i piccioni. A poca distanza, c'erano i suoi genitori, mi sono avvicinata per chiedere il permesso di fotografare la scenetta, e mi sono fermata a scambiare quattro chiacchiere. Il padre mi ha detto che per suo figlio Federico, bisognerebbe guadagnare due stipendi. “ Tutti i poveri che vede, si ferma e a me, tocca aprire il portafoglio. Abitiamo in un piccolo centro, frequenta l'oratorio sotto casa e, quando qualche volta, faccio la faccia scura, lui mi dice: papà, ogni povero è amico di Gesù; anzi, ogni povero è Gesù stesso!” “ Pensi, - ha aggiunto sua madre, una bella e simpatica signora, "che Federico è arrivato a dirmi: Mamma, per Natale, a me non serve nulla, i soldi del mio regalo, li mettiamo in una busta e li diamo a Don Michele, per i suoi poveri”. Mi sono emozionata, e in un attimo ho pensato a tutti quei ragazzini che, pestano i piedi per terra se non hanno l'ultimo modello di cellulare, o di tablet e altre diavolerie di questo genere. Non vi nascondo che per me, è stata una grande lezione.
