Soggetto fotografico non comunissimo, la copale (o coppale) è lo stadio iniziale delle trasformazioni che portano le resine e alcune gomme naturali a diventare ambre. L'intero campione è largo meno di 2 cm, quindi l'immagine è un focus stacking di 14 scatti; la curiosità è che ho dovuto montarli manualmente, perché Combine ZP (che peraltro è gratuito e il suo lavoro lo fa più che dignitosamente) si rifiutava proprio di renderizzarli. In realtà, avrei comunque finito per procedere manualmente perché la quantità di microinclusioni e microfratture, non visibili normalmente, ma leggibilissime in un montaggio automatico, obbligano a scegliere quali piani conservare e quali tralasciare per mantenere una lettura gradevole del soggetto. La cosa interessante, per chi dovesse trovarsi nella medesima situazione, è che Combine ZP ha funzionato perfettamente fino al momento di effettuare i calcoli per ridimensionare e mettere a registro i singoli fotogrammi, così ho fatto un cattura immagine della schermata dei calcoli che mi ha aiutato parecchio nel lavoro con Photoshop. P.S. per le formichine (2 mm ciascuna) non saprei proprio a quale specie appartengano
