Pratovecchio, Arezzo ... gennaio 2017 ... E' nata e cresciuta, forte e solitaria, sulla china di un poggio, uno dei tanti che dolci e suadenti dipingono il volto rurale dell'alto Casentino ... Dal luogo privilegiato in cui affonda le proprie radici, la giovane quercia vigila sull'intera vallata ed ogni sua fronda sembra indicare una cima od un borgo che fanno la ricchezza e la bellezza di questa terra: dai castelli feudali di Poppi e Romena agli sparsi casali di pietra, dalle foreste fittissime del Falterona alle erbe sommitali del Pratomagno ... In qualunque stagione e qualunque sia il vento che spira lei non teme gli elementi della natura perchè di essa lei stessa è partecipe, non teme la calura d'agosto o le torrenziali piogge d'autunno, e non teme neppure la neve e la bufera che di lì a poco l'avrebbero abbracciata in un candido manto ...
