I thank you all for the compliments! :-P

A fantastic night in which I managed to do two Startrail, this at the Gran Sasso, and another observatory in Campo Imperatore.

Lorenzo, I made 150 shots to 30 seconds each, plus a couple of photos from around 6 minutes and iso lower to the ground

Well what can I say, definitely a picture quite impressive, if I hadn't read Gran Sasso would have thought northern polar latitudes, even much more ...:-D

From neophyte I take this opportunity to ask a question ... How do you focus properly? Is an issue that I find myself always shot through the roof.

Then you put together all the shots in pp?

You didn't do a longer time because otherwise it would have been too light?

I guess it's been a good night.

Thanks if you will answer me and my heartfelt congratulations for the amazing year photos.

1) messa a fuoco corretta, metto su infinito e faccio qualche foto di prova, a meno che non abbia qualche punto di riferimento abbastanza lontano ed illuminato da mettere a fuoco al primo colpo;

2)essendo molti scatti, ed anche molto pesanti, prima sviluppo i raw in ACR, salvo in .dng, e poi li carico tutti come livelli separati. A volte li carico a gruppi di 50-100, dipende da quante foto sono; fondo insieme le foto per le stelle, poi sostituisco il resto con altre foto fatte o in condizioni di luce migliori, o a più lunga esposizione per avere meno rumore e più definizione, naturalmente sempre della stessa scena;

3)tempi più lunghi no, per evitare di avere troppi pixel bruciati, e anche perchè quando vado a fondere le foto, con tempi ben oltre i 30 secondi, avrei un distacco troppo evidente tra una foto e l'altra, la linea delle stelle risulterebbe più tratteggiata che continua;

Thanks for the explanation. Very useful.

I see a trail down to the right. Plane?
