Does this mean you've got your lens back, or was this taken a while ago?

Also, how's camera club??

I'm pleased to say I got my lens back yesterday, which is also when I took the photo.

I'm still enjoying camera club. The last comp I got 8 (disappointing) and 9 (ok but not thrilling). Next week is Print of the Year, so I'm looking forward to that.

Were you pleased with the job they'd done? You obviously missed not having it but still got by OK in the meantime and now you've got all year ahead in which to enjoy using it.

Eight ain't so bad and in my day a 9 was definitely very good (though not as good as a 10, obviously!)

Print of the Year is a biggie, don't be too disappointed if you don't do as well as some of the other members - they've probably been at the club years and doing serious photography for decades. Let me know which one/s you enter and how well they do - I'm genuinely interested! And, good luck.

Yes, I'm completely happy with the job they did, Tim - it looks good as new!

The scores are still perceived in much the same way, so they are fine/good. I think it was rather more the reasons why they didn't score higher that I was not so happy with. However, he said many things during the evening that I didn't agree with, although I did approve of his top two choices.

For Print of the Year, we can only entered images that have been submitted to other competitions through the year (I imagine that is a universal thing?), so it didn't take much effort to decide what to enter. I've submitted Awaiting the Sun www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=en&t=1612046 and Aphid on Flower www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=en&t=1473625 which previously scored 10 & 9 1/2 respectively. I'll let you know how they do :) Thanks for for your interest and the good wishes!

Thank you so much, Larry - I loved the way the sunlight cast the pattern of the stained glass window onto the wall!
