Come sempre una foto perfetta e in più anche tutta la sua storia che ovviamente non conoscevo,pensa che a prima vista non l avevo neanche riconosciuta senza auto bancarelle e le migliaia di persone che vanno lì x la festa di San Eusebio. ..ciao Roberto

Ciao massimo.. da quello che hai scritto, questa è una chiesa che ha vissuto tempi peggiori di quelli di oggi.. per fortuna è ancora molto ben conservata! Bella la foto, ciao.

Grazie Rob ! La foto poteva essere migliore solamente se ci fosse stata una luce un po' diversa, ma oggi la luce era quella e mica la potevo cambiare !
Sì, effettivamente il 2 di Agosto, S. Eusebio, c'è una delle feste popolari più note e frequentate della zona di Varese e dintorni, con decine di bancarelle e, la sera, fuochi d'artificio spettacolari, c'è tutta un'altra prospettiva e, forse, si perde un po' la bellezza della chiesetta.

Yes, actually August 2, S. Eusebio, is one of the festivals most famous and popular in the area of ??Varese and surroundings, with dozens of stalls and the evening fireworks spectacular, there's a whole 'other perspective and, perhaps, you lose a little' the beauty of the church.

Beh, la storia si ripete e i lavori che attendono decenni prima di essere iniziati e secoli prima di essere finiti ce ne sono ancora non pochi ! Questa chiesa ha avuto almeno la fortuna di essere stata restaurata bene anche se con grande ritardo.
Sant'Eusebio (patrono di Vercelli e primo Vescovo di quella Diocesi) è spesso ricordato in terra ambrosiana per il suo legame con Sant'Ambrogio con il quale condivideva la visione teologica e l'opposizione agli ariani.
Casciago, il comune dove sorge la chiesetta, è stato identificato, niente meno che dal Manzoni, come probabile luogo da identificare con il "Rus Cassiciacum", citato Sant'Agostino nelle Confessioni come luogo in cui il Santo e la madre Santa Monica dimorarono, in alternativa all'altra identificazione fatta con Cassago Brianza da un altro storico.

Well, history repeats itself and the work waiting decades before it began centuries before it was finished and there are still quite a few! This church has at least had the good fortune to have been restored well although with great delay.
Eusebius (patron of Vercelli and first bishop of the Diocese) is often remembered on earth ambrosiana for its connection with St. Ambrose with whom he shared the vision and the theological opposition to the Arians.
Casciago, the municipality where stands the church, has been identified, none other than the Manzoni, as a likely place to be identified with the "Rus Cassiciacum", quoted St. Augustine in the Confessions as a place where the Holy Mother and the Santa Monica dimorarono, alternatively other identification made with Cassago Brianza from another town.
