Quest'inverno ha un che di molto strano, è vero, ed è molto preoccupante. Proprio oggi, scattando queste fotografie, mi sono reso conto che le cime alpine, da sud a nord est, sono praticamente prive di neve, almeno quelle che non hanno ghiacciai o nevai perenni.

This winter has something very strange, it is true, and it's very worrying. Just today, taking these photographs, I realized that the alpine peaks, from south to northeast, are practically free of snow, at least those who do not have glaciers or permanent snowfields.

Ciao Antonio ! Grazie per il commento e l'apprezzamento del mio scatto. Il PDR è merito di Madre Natura e, un po', anche di quegli artiglieri che, tra il 1915 e il 1918, hanno costruito questa linea difensiva che corre lungo tutto il confine italo-svizzero e che doveva fare da argine ad una potenziale invasione da nord in caso di violazione, da parte degli austro-ungarici, della neutralità della Confederazione Elvetica. Il Forte di Orino è un piazzale erboso, protetto da una barriera di roccia e cemento, dove erano posizionati dei pezzi di artiglieria. Ci si arriva con una camminata di circa 5 km. sulla comoda ex strada militare.

Hello Antonio! Thanks for the comment and appreciation of my shooting. The PDR is about Mother Nature and, a bit ', even of those gunners who, between 1915 and 1918, they built this defensive line that runs along the Swiss-Italian border and had to do as a barrier to a potential invasion from the north in case of violation by the Austro-Hungarians, the neutrality of the Swiss Confederation. Fort Orino is a grassy square, protected by a barrier of rock and concrete, where they were placed pieces of artillery. It can be reached by a walk of about 5 km. comfortable on the old military road.
