Non posso non iniziare il racconto fotografico della recente esperienza in Sudafrica che con un'immagine dei licaoni. Quello appena concluso nel Kruger National Park, infatti, è stato senza alcun dubbio il loro safari. Speravamo proprio di vederli ma mai avremmo immaginato di incontrarli quattro volte in una settimana !!! Una fortuna senza precedenti! Questo scatto si riferisce al primo incontro, forse il più emozionante, perché avvenuto proprio il giorno del nostro arrivo in Sudafrica. Erano circa le 18.00. La luce ormai bassa, stavamo correndo per cercare di non arrivare tardi al campo (si deve entrare entro le 18.30 e mancavano ancora diversi chilometri)..quando all'improvviso... eccoli li!! In un piccolo spiazzo sul lato destro della strada c'era un gruppo di 10 wild dogs intento a giocherellare con i resti di un piccolo impala, probabilmente appena divorato. Non credevamo ai nostri occhi! naturalmente siamo arrivati al campo in ritardo, quando ormai era buio completo. L'avvistamento è avvenuto sulla strada sterrata che da sud porta al Biyamiti Bushveld Camp. Un grande abbraccio a tutti i miei compagni di viaggio :-) #wild #safari

This is the only shooting "good" in this scene of a sequence of at least 15 ... as I said was almost buio..ho taken to 1/160 second with 500 freehand -D

Comunque, visto che guidavo io ed ero in tensione sia per il ritardo sia per le 12 bottiglie di vino che traballavano nel cofano, ti ricordo che erano le 18.25 quando li abbiamo incontrati ed eravamo a circa 5 chilometri dal Bushveld camp di Biyamiti ... e siamo arrivati con moooooolto ritardo al gate!
