Massimo Sorriso

Dear George, the caption for this beautiful picture, I remember my first steps in the photograph, for "doctrine" was strictly B & N and, if not developed, at least printed in the darkroom housewife.
My first reflex was a Praktica (or Practika, I do not remember how it was written), then I switched to an Asahi Pentax and Nikon F then to 800 (or 801? Boh, who remembers? Anyway, I'm all there in the closet well-knit and well kept!).
I speak for almost fifty years ago! What good memories! And that longing!
The photos should be more or less all of them, but I dare not go to see them again to avoid the heartbreak (given the age!).
From digital I became a canonist, but Nikon or Canon have only a relative importance, are only uNo means. The important thing is being able to capture and transmit still the "emotions" through our shots.
In a commentary, I can not remember who, I wrote that we should change the name to "photograph" (writing with light) to "fotocardiografia" (writing with light and heart)!
Thanks to this old shot that takes me back, by analogy (I've never been in Sicily, unfortunately!) The good times of my youth.
Congratulations for the photo and a warm greeting.
Maximum :-)

Giorgio

It was what I thought publishing this old photograph in B / N: elicit the positive sense of nostalgia among friends, our peers, who have our same passion. It 's true we have passed from "darkroom" to the computer (which I call "clear room"), but we have not stopped dreaming and thanks to photography we are still quite young. In fact we can with a camera in hand ... I did skip the "my" dry-stone walls, you to climb on "your"
mountains.
A big thank you, Max, for this share that is beyond image!
A sincere greeting.
Giorgio

Ciao Agata

To you who are like me Ragusa I can say that this picture reminds me of the picture of a great photographer Ragusa "Leo" .Obviously her I saw them always printed in black and white.

Giorgio

Thanks Agata, the approach to the great Peppino Leone flatters me a lot. When still a boy I fell in love with photography, then just black and white, I greatly admired the photos of Leo, and I learned a lot from him. Later I also had the like to be with him on several photographic events.
Best wishes.

Ciao.
Giorgio

The analog is the past, digital is the present and the future. Let's enjoy the present and we never stop to photograph!

Mooooolto bella.
Complimenti. Ottima anche tutta la serie B/N.

Soooooo beautiful. I have never been to Sicily, and if you had not written it sounds like a photo taken in my Sardinia many years ago, in a small village in the. Very nice atmosphere, enhanced by the B / W that brings back memories and feelings from the dust of years. The PDR then it's perfect.
Compliments. Also good the whole series B / N.
