L'ulivo è l'albero più diffuso in Puglia. I primi ad introdurre in Puglia la coltivazione degli ulivi probabilmente furono gli antichi Messapi. In varie parti di Puglia iniziarono 3 millenni fa ad innestare le piante di olivo selvatico, l'olivastro, con l'olivo domestico, più produttivo, per ottenere le olive dalla quale ricavare il preziosissimo olio. #Alberi #Giardini #Campagna
