Montepulciano, Siena ... maggio 2015 ... Verdissimi vellutati campi di giovane frumento che danzano lievi ondeggiando nel vento di burrasca, un casolare antico quanto austero adagiato sulla linea del poggio a dominio del proprio podere, un cipresso solitario e schietto che solenne e indolente ne segna il confine, persino un cielo tumultuoso di vivida luce e generoso di contrasti e tinte cupe: pareva, quasi per incanto, che buona parte degli archetipi di bellezza e di armonia del paesaggio toscano si fossero dati convegno in quel sereno lembo di terra chianina! Soltanto l'effimera emozione di un arcobaleno, pensavo, avrebbe accresciuto il mio appagamento ... ed eccolo, timido, fugace, quasi una goccia di essenza divina, congiungere il cielo alla terra, brillare nell'aria frizzante a scaldarmi il cuore. Ancora una volta la mia terra amatissima mi aveva ascoltato e si era fatta ancora più bella, sfoggiando le vesti lucenti della primavera, per me, per tutti coloro che ne sanno assaporare l'infinita dolcezza ...
