Proseguendo il giro dell'isola di Ohau si arriva sulla costa nord, paradiso per gli amanti delle grandi onde... Appena ci si affaccia sulle prime spiagge lo spettacolo è a dir poco impressionante...!!! Onde alte come case... fin dove lo sguardo può arrivare... Uno spettacolo sensazionale...!!! La parte centrale, è nota come Banzai Pipeline ed è la più frequentata dai surfers più esperti, che qui trovano splendidi "tubi" dove infilarsi e onde da cavalcare.... Certo... non è come dirlo... Ma vederli all'opera è assolutamente spettacolare.... La Pipeline è il luogo ideale pe ammirarli nelle loro acrobazie perche le onde si infrangono a pochi metri dalla spiaggia, dove comodamente seduti nella parte alta, si gode una splendida vista sul "parco Giochi"... Questo si verifica nel periodo invernale, mentre in quello estivo, la costa si trasforma in un calmo susseguirsi di spiagge frequentate da bagnanti più tradizionali... Il culmine di altezza delle onde si raggiunge tra gennaio e febbraio, dove a detta di un anziana e simpatica signora... Arrivano a tre volte tanto...!!!!
