Elaine Davidson è un'ex infermiera brasiliana, residente a Edimburgo che il Guinness World Records, nel 2005, ha certificato, con 4225 piercing, come la "Donna con più piercing al mondo". Nel mese di maggio del 2016 i suoi piercing erano già saliti a 9800, di cui 500 solo nella zona genitale, e nel 2023, in una intervista su ITV la stessa performer (come lei ama definirsi), dopo avere dichiarato il raggiungimento di 15000 piercing, ha manifestato l’intenzione di voler puntare all’obiettivo dei 20000 piercing in totale. Stava semi nascosta dietro questa coloratissima postazione sulla Royal Mile di fronte la Cattedrale di Sant’Egidio e, in cambio di un’offerta di qualche sterlina, si “offriva” agli obiettivi (per lo più telefonini) dei curiosi di passaggio. Io ho dato il mio piccolo contributo ma non me la sono sentita di... fotografarla.
