Subjects :The Yangshuo area offers some of the most beautiful scenery in China, with numerous small mountains along the course of the Lijiang River. The most beautiful spots to photograph are near XingPing (not Yangshuo city), in particular I recommend the viewpoints Lao Zhaishan (free, 30 minutes of climbing), XianggongShan (for a fee, about 8 euros, 15 minutes of climbing) and DamianShan (for a fee, about 2 euros, 1 hour of climbing). Here you can also take the classic photos of the fisherman on the river with lantern and cormorant, but they are all fake (they are extras and charge well).
Recommended equipment :Wide angle, standard zoom, telephoto zoom, tripod.
Best months :All year round, although the winter months are the best in terms of climate. Avoid Chinese holiday periods.
How to get there :You can reach Yangshuo Station by train, and from here by bus or taxi you can reach XingPing, the best place to photograph since it is close to all the viewpoints. The larger city of Yangshuo, on the other hand, is in a less favorable position.
Visits :The area can be walked around freely, but some viewpoints are subject to a fee (because systems of paths and stairs have been built to reach them)
