Subjects : People's portraits are beautiful ,and easy to find, most of the time people are asking for pictures rarely in change of some money , Plants are also easy to find, and there is a flower shop that might inspire your craft, Mountains are all over Windhoek, and are the reason why Windhoek was founded here, Cars are easy subjects to find they are all over the places, though there are more buckies than sports cars, Street Photography is a great and common subject here though you have to be careful if you are going in crowded places, Macro is safe, and great in the raining season, Still life is a subject that you can do anywhere you want on earth you just need a set piece of objects, City life is a particularly common subject especially in Windhoek, Landscape is good but there are other great places in Namibia for Landscape, City Night scapes it is an interesting type of photography though you have to be careful.

Recommended equipment : A camera, a tripod, and a standard lens

Best months : September, October, November

How to get there : by airplane if you are coming from abroad, by car or taxi if you are coming from the airport, from lodges or towns, and from south africa, on foot if in town, by bicycle if in town considering that the town is quite big, by bus if from the airport or from close towns, by motor bike if in the town or in near by places, by helicopter if from other towns in the region.

Visits : There are no fees. It is the capital city of Namibia.
