Subjects : Chamois, ibex, deer, roe deer and all the smaller mountain fauna (such as size); the period we were in was very hot so the animals were very high or always ambushed; in addition, the area is characterized by very dense forests that make it impossible to see the ungulates, but we understood also asking the "locals" that in the right season, for example in early June, or in September for the craving, it is easy to see all ungulates including deer; in a side valley of Valpelline (after Bionaz, trail 15) there is a protected area where deer-themed and craving evenings are organized; in the protected area we observed a lush flora among which stood out expanses of bouton d'or and white and yellow anemones; In addition, I managed to find (thanks to my wife) a very rare Alpine Clematis (Clematis alpine)

Recommended equipment : any kind, for fauna, flora and landscapes

Best months : all seasons, but fresh periods for the ungulates, before they go too far or disappear into the dense forests

How to get there : AutoIcon auto.gif From Turin: A5 motorway to the Aosta Valley (about 98 km)to Aosta;From Milan: A4 motorway to Turin; Take the junction at Santhià direction Aosta (164 km)to Aosta;From Courmayeur:Highway A5 or S.S.26 to Aosta, then walk the SS 27 of the Grand St. Bernard to the junction of Variney to enter the rolling wheel to Roisan and, later ,reach the destination
