Best months : certainly great during autonnali and winter, I have not visited in spring and summer.

How to get there : After crossing the border with Switzerland head to St. Moritiz and then go to Pontresina. Once in Pontresina, leave your car in the parking lot just outside the village. From here the various paths that lead to the wood in a few minutes, passing through the KoncerPlatz, a clearing in the woods equipped with some benches.

Visits : the place is not a park or an oasis but a natural forest without fences nor any limit on visits.

Notes : a spectacular place, but rather cold in the winter months. Bring some peanuts to attract animals. Council visit http://www.pontresina.com/011stm_00_en.htm for information about hotels, weather and some webcams, in Switzerland the prices are quite high, the euro is generally accepted. Bring a form of identification and, if you have them, receipts and documents of camera and lenses (usually at customs not ask for them but you never know ...)
