Subjects : The Peaks offer one of the most spectacular scenery in the Alps can shoot from many angles, and my favorite location is the refuge Locatelli (46.636826,12.310563) that allows you to photograph very well and the three peaks of the Monte Paterno and the nearby lakes .

Recommended equipment : Wide-angle, standard zoom lens and tripod, plus possibly a wide angle light for night photos.

Best months : From late spring to mid-October, you can also visit the area in winter, but the snow, the roads are not passable and cold temperatures make it very challenging hikes.

How to get there : It can be reached easily by car Misurina, then take the toll road (22 euro!) That reaches the Auronzo refuge, where pargheggia. From here you can reach the Locatelli with various routes, some are challenging while others are really easy, affordable for almost everyone :-) The hike along the easiest path takes about an hour and a half.

Visits : The site is freely accessible, but if you want to reach the aurozo by car you have to pay a toll of 22 euro / car. Alternatively you can walk from Misurina, but the trip takes 3/4 hours and you have to deal with a vertical drop of 700 meters. In the winter months the toll road is closed and then the only option is to get on foot.
