Subjects : From Rifugio Re Alberto, at an altitude of 2600 meters, you can admire a beautiful view of the Vajolet Towers, especially at dusk and at night (dawn the towers are backlit, poorly lit). Near the shelter you can reach various sights, or take pictures from the pond next to the refuge for classical framing with the reflection of the mountains.

Recommended equipment : Grandandolo, standard tripod and zoom, plus possibly a bright fixed for night photos.

Best months : Summertime; The refuge is open from 18 June to 25 September.

How to get there : You can leave your car in the car park of the chair lift in Pera di Fassa (free), from there take the cable car or rather the shuttle to town Gardeccia to 1,949 meters (compared to the cable car, the shuttle saves half an hour walk) . An easy path leads to the Rifugio Vajolet (2243 meters) in about 50 minutes. From here you reach the refuge Re Alberto in about an hour's walk on a trail to escursiosti experts rather steep, with some equipped sections.

Visits : The visit is free, apart from the cost of the shuttle from Pera di Fassa to Gardeccia (10 euro round trip); there is a shuttle every 30 minutes.
