Subjects :Spectacular place for landscapes, with rock formations, colors, shapes and many different views product of years of erosion. There are different and peculiar formations, such as "The Sapo", "The Obelisk", "The Amphitheatre", "La Garganta del Diablo", "Las Ventanas", "Los Castillos", etc.
Recommended equipment :To take with it a wide angle, the tripod and all the equipment for landscapes. If you are fond of birdlife, you may find birds and sometimes some bird-of-prey in high flight. In addition to photographic equipment, there is no need for specific equipment (stockings, trousers, etc.) The place is walkable en car, on foot, by bike, etc. without problems.
Best months :Being a place for landscapes, you can visit at any time of the year. To avoid the full state for high temperatures (we are in the north of Argentina). As almost always, the best is to take a ride in the early morning and after another in the evening, already that the different angles of the sun offer amazingly different landscapes in the different hours.
How to get there :You can get there by car from Bs. As. (But they are many miles, 1500km!) or by plane (domestic flight) up to Salta capital and from there, rent a vehicle to arrive, RN 68 (National Route 68). There are also tours.
Visits :The entrance is free. You can walk the area at any time of the day/night. Do not miss "El Anfiteatro", a rock formation in a theatre mode where you can appreciate a very particular acoustic situation.
