Subjects : Mainly pinsapos (Abies pinsapo). Remains of ancient fir tree forest that cover Europe and north of Africa during the third age (Also found in Sierra Bermeja and Sierra de las Nieves in Malaga). Very old gall oaks.

Recommended equipment : DSLR. Very low focal lenght to use inside the fores. Objetive for landscape and a medium tele to get details from outside the forest.

Best months : Spring and autumm. Sometimes in winter. During summer it is closed

How to get there : By plane to Jerez or Seville airport. Then you must go by car. There are three entrances: Benamahoma, Puerto de las Cumbres (grazalema) or Puerto de los Acebuches (Zahara de la Sierra), and then you have to walk

Visits : You need entry permit. During summer (15 june - 15 October) is closed due to fire risk. Check on the web for Centro de visitantes El Bosque where you can get info.
