Subjects : Pattaya is the center of Thailand's nightlife - a sort of Asian "Las Vegas", a succession of clubs, lights, very "dubious" massage parlors and characters of all kinds: a place so exaggerated and tacky that it has a certain photographic charm, clearly only if you are interested in filming such scenes. Obviously, particular caution is needed in the red light area; I do not recommend you to take "stolen photos" but rather to ask and try to establish a bit of dialogue with the people you photograph. The real center of chaos is the Soi Buakhao and its side streets; I do not recommend the more touristy "Walking Street".

Recommended equipment : Portrait lens (35mm f/1.4 is ideal), standard zoom.

Best months : All year round. July to October is monsoon season, very rainy and with possible floods.

How to get there : You can get to Bangkok by plane and then rent a car (you need an international license) or reach Pattaya by public transport, it is very well connected.

Visits : Free visit, since it is a city.

Notes : Definitely a place "for adults", it is not a destination for families.
