Subjects : The Gardena Pass is perhaps one of the most picturesque Dolomite passes - it offers numerous landscape ideas, some already from the pass itself where you can park your car, others walking along the many paths that start from the pass. It lends itself well for both sunrise and sunset.

Recommended equipment : Wide angle, standard zoom, telephoto zoom, tripod.

Best months : All year round, it is generally also open in winter (obviously with snow the hiking possibilities are more limited)

How to get there : The pass can be reached directly by car, along the SS243, going up from Selva di Val Gardena or corvara in Badia.

Visits : Visits are free; a couple of kilometers from the pass can find free parking along the road, while parking on the pass itself is paid (about 6 euros / day). Some of the paid parking lots become free at night, between 6pm and 8am.
