Subjects : The Oasis of Baggero is a protected reserve that extends for 225 thousand square meters and is located between Merone, Monguzzo, Lurago d'Erba and Lambrugo. Inside this area (which since 2002 is part of the Valle Regional Park del Lambro) there are two deep lakes from 5 to 6 meters and extended for almost 8 hectares. The tributary that feeds them is the Cavolto canal which, after forming the two lakes, flows slightly further downstream into the Lambro river. The origin of these two basins is completely artificial: following the extraction of material (marne) for the production of cement (started in 1928 and finished in 1969 for the south and 70 in the northern part) after 10 years of environmental restoration work, in 1980, with the deviation of the Cavolto canal, the Baggero lakes were born and the relative natural reserve, well usable and whose access is completely free.

Recommended equipment : For wildlife photos, you need a good telephoto lens.
