Subjects : Lots of birds but an occasional Marten as well. Birds are Kestrel, Goose, Swan, Pied avocet, Cormorant, Duck, See-eagle and many more species. The place is a waterbassin by origin, preventing the groundwater to overflow into the surrounding areas.

Recommended equipment : You shouldnt really enter this area without atleast a good camera or binoculars or any other optic device however having a stroll there should also be quite satisfying.

Best months : During summer might be the best time but it also sparks the imagination during the wintermonths, there are lots of birds there still with species like Goose and other winter dwellers.

How to get there : Get there via any of the Dutch highways but there are some very nice and interesting bicycle routes to take as well, just whatever is your preference.

Visits : The visit there is free, there are several places to park cars and other vehicles around the area of this great little birdsanctuary.
