Subjects :Black Skimmers, Oister Catcher, Shore Birds, Herons. It is particularly the Black Skimmers that attract photographers of the place. In August a colony of Black Skimmers usually nests on this beach and so do the Oister Catchers, even if they are outnumbered. Waders of each species.

How to get there :Renting a car in Manhattan to reach Nickerson Beachin 50 minutes / 1 hour. Public transportation does not allow you to get there quickly.
