Subjects :Milford Sound offers a spectacle of unimaginable natural beauty ... geomorphology crazy that make this place a charm of nature ... meravigoiosi a fjord that offers glimpses of immense waterfalls, cliffs overlooking the ocean, a vbegetazione rich and overwhelming ... at the wildlife you can see seals and dolphins extremely self-centered that will not fail to show off stunts with beautiful nature ...
Recommended equipment :definitely a wide angle and a tripod for photos from the ground, and a bit of memory card like myself not to meet with the memory half full path ... Milford Sound being one of the wettest places in the world strongly suggest targets for protection and camera bodies especially in the absence of tropicalization. I would also recommend a telephoto lens to photograph the local wildlife such as seals and dolphins. for the rest strongly suggest a tarp or waterproof (the ferries as they stop going under a waterfall) and mountain boots preferably waterproof material.
Best months :period as I have been during their summer ... but it shall be very lucky, because in just 181 days a year cadonio to 6000 mm of rain total ... general advice in the spring and summer
How to get there :there is little to say, there is a single road that leads from Te Anau to Milford Sound ... Board enormously to fill up their vehicles before leaving Te Anau because the road is long and there are no gas stations ... the road is still fascinating and full of wonderful sights such as Mirror Lake, the huge flat mountain and the long and winding path that descends to peak between crevasses and cliffs just before arriving at Milford Sound
Visits :There are 3 types of visits by ferry possible to do, the price difference ranges from 100 to NZ $ 140 ... I recommend you do the d 140 which includes a visit to the observatory submarine ... for more spendthrifts there is also the possibility to visit by helicopter of the whole area
Notes :Milford Sound is located within the Fiordland National Park ... anfdare to Milford Sound imlica the possibility of beautiful walks in the surrounding area, including the valley ... Tutoku is the famous Milford Sound track that lasts over 5 days of walking and offers landscapes that even Tolkien could have been immiaginare
