Subjects : Wildlife such as squirrels, lizards, agoutis and monkeys. Birding is quite easy. Many tropical and lowland species of birds such as: Tanagers, Hummingbirds, Seedeaters, Toucans, Finches, Tree Creepers, Woodpeckers, Wrens, Parrots and more...

Best months : Best months are in the dry season between end of December and end of April

How to get there : Fly into Panama City.Las Cumbres is a residential area about 35 minutes from downtown Panama City and a bit more from AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL DE TOCUMEN. It is mainly private homes but we stayed in a B&B called Coconut Lodge which has birding on and around the grounds and streets.

Visits : You can walk around for free but you would need transport to get there. Best bet is to stay at Coconut Lodge. If you do birding tours in places like Pipeline Rd it is always nice to come back to some lazy photographic opportunities around Coconut Lodge.
