Subjects :Krzywy Las, the "crooked forest", is a small pine forest from the curved shape that is in Poland, near Gryfino and the River Odra. No one knows for sure the reason for this bizarre shape: among the various theories, it was thought that the trees were intentionally distorted to create lumber to be used in construction of the boats (but taking into account serving several decades because the trees to reach this size, who had implemented this idea he knew he wouldn't have reaped the rewards). Other theories about the passage of tanks, or particularly heavy snowfall, or even trees cut at the base, leaving only a branch which then became the main trunk. But the truth is destined to remain a mystery.
Recommended equipment :Wide angle, standard zoom, tripod.
Best months :Year-round, but the ideal is to photograph this place with foggy atmospheres, so I'd say autumn is the perfect time.
How to get there :By car you can park in Dolna Odra, and in a few hundred meters you reach the forest; Alternatively by train you can get off at the tiny station in Dolna Odra.
