Coordinates : 36.235429,-112.689257 (Open in Google Maps)

Subjects : The splendid waterfalls of the Indian tribe eyed green and blue. The wonderful colors of red earth are second only to the color of the crystal waters that run through the canyon. The most important waterfalls are only two: Havasu Fall and Fall Mooney. It is definitely not an easy place to get to, the towns are not close and it is definitely a step in the classic tour of the States. I assure you, however, that it's worth it.

Recommended equipment : Grandongolo and tripod, even a medium telephoto to photograph the faces of the village elders.

Best months : From March to October.

How to get there : Take Interstate 40 between Kingman and Flagstaff, exit to one of the two cities, and take the route 66 up to Peach Springs, a couple of miles, take the Indian Road 18, after about 45 minutes to reach the car park at the top of the canyon. From here about a couple of hours on foot to reach the village. The ascent can be facilitated by a helicopter: P

Visits : Cost of entry into the reserve, one-off per person, if we go back in the day you may not even pay, otherwise you have to stay at the campsite or in the lodge.
