Subjects :The Hang Mua viewpoint, also known as Hang Mua Cave (from a tiny cave nearby) is the summit of a small mountain from which you can admire the surrounding landscape, with river, rice paddies and other picturesque views.
Recommended equipment :Wide angle, standard zoom, telephoto zoom, tripod.
Best months :All year round; The best months as colors, however, should be from September to November (I went in March and the rice fields were not great)
How to get there :The viewpoint is a short distance (7km) from Ninh Binh, a city reachable by train or minibus from Hanoi. Once you arrive at Ninh Binh Station, you can reach the viewpoint on foot (about an hour and a half) or by taxi. To get to the viewpoint you have to pay 100000 dong (about 4 euros) and there is a gate; The times are not clear, I went to the 5.30 am and found it open. From the gate continue up a staircase to get to the summit; Depending on your fitness, it will take 15 to 40 minutes.
Visits :To enter the route you have to pay 100000 dong (about 4 euros).
