Subjects : Gullfoss is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland; you can photograph it from various angles and creates a picturesque setting for both the waterfall itself that the canyon in which the river flows. The best photo opportunities are around sunset when the light illuminates the waterfall (at least in the winter months).

How to get there : Follow the road number 35, along which you will also find the geyser Strokkur. About half an hour after the geyser you reach the large parking area from where the trail to the waterfall (a ten minute walk from the parking lot).
