Subjects : Godafoss is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland; has a horseshoe shape that makes it particularly picturesque, and is easily accessible in all seasons. The left side is the one that offers the best photo opportunities; you can photograph the other that is going down to the base of the waterfall ... I recommend you try both point shooting! The terrain can be slippery, especially in winter, so I recommend caution.

Recommended equipment : Wide angle, standard zoom, tripod. Note that near the waterfall there is always a lot of moisture so often you will need to dry the lens.

Best months : All year round; the waterfall is very close to the main road so is normally accessible even in winter.

How to get there : The nearest town is Akureyri; from there take the road number 1, the famous Ring Road, in an easterly direction and in about an hour you will reach Godafoss.

Visits : Freely visited, there are no tickets and even parking is free.
